Leica approached me to help them market their new range of laser distance measuring products – they asked if I could come up with a new and dynamic approach to reach their core audience of everyday builders.
A lot of the advertising wasn’t drawing in the return in investment they hoped for when they first launched their new product range.
I worked closely with their design team in Switzerland to produce a selection of accurate illustrations depicting their products as ‘transformer’ style robots to grab the attention of their customers across a variety of branded ad campaigns.

The illustrations were also used in the industry brochure ‘Shop Spec’. We also designed and wrote the copy for the article.
The main illustration was used as a full size cut out at a trade show to draw attention to Leica’s stand. This had a big impact for their sales team and secured a high number of leads and sales.
